Hello, my name is Adam Word. I am an illustrator, painter, and a tattoo artist.

I have been making art for as long as I can remember. There has never been a moment in my life where my imagination hasn’t let in vivid visions of fantastic realms of both unbridled beauty and also dreadful scenes of dispair. Some place in the middle is where I choose to stand and create.

It is at this zero point of the collision of opposites that I find my true soul’s intent and purpose. I seek a balance in what seems like a chaotic universe, from both my inner self and from the farthest reaches of my personal universe.

As far as my career in tattooing, I have been practicing and learning since 2006. I say “praciticng and learning” because I still view the process of tattooing as a constant revelation.

My aim with both tattooing and art is to create as precise and clean an image as my skills and experience can produce based on my own personal visions. Whether made in skin or onto watercolor paper, I tend to follow the same rules in their creation: clean black lines with proper contours and edges, textures and shades that bring my subjects to life with dynamic and bold colors that leap forth from its shape creating contrasted and saturated physical thoughtforms.

I would like to gracefully invite you to join me in my endevors of continuing my life’s work in making a reality of my inner visions. God only knows what purpose they will serve, but I sure do have the most fun creating and showing what my mind demands of me on a daily basis.
